Apart from the fact that the packaging was pretty bad (my mat hanging out the end of the box)
This is one of the best things I’ve spent 200$ on in a long time.
I loooove my mat. Its truly is sticky. I have very dry/slippery hands and feet and have never been
able to find a mat that held me securely,
Here it is, my hands and feet don’t move AT ALL. I feel like a queen on this luxury. It’s so beautiful and calls to me . . .
If you’re tossing us whether to get one – DO it, I can’t possibly imagine that you’d be nothing but
joyful !

The Liforme yoga mat has been a staple in my practice for several years, and its recent loss has left me heartbroken. This mat has consistently exceeded my expectations, offering unparalleled grip, comfort, and overall performance. Here’s a detailed review reflecting on my experiences over the years and why I’m now on the hunt for a replacement.
Grippiness
One of the most remarkable features of the Liforme yoga mat is its exceptional grip. The surface is designed to provide a strong, non-slip texture that holds firm even during the sweatiest sessions. I’ve practiced in various conditions, including heated classes, and the mat never let me down. This reliable grip helped me maintain focus during challenging poses, allowing me to explore deeper into my practice without worrying about slipping.
Comfort
Comfort is another area where the Liforme mat truly shines. The cushioning it provides is just right—supportive enough to protect my joints while still being firm enough to feel stable during standing poses. The alignment markers on the mat were a fantastic addition, helping me maintain proper form throughout my practice. This thoughtful design element added a layer of support that enhanced my sessions, making them even more enjoyable.
Durability
Having used the Liforme mat for years, I can confidently say it’s built to last. Despite regular use and frequent cleaning, it held up remarkably well, showing minimal signs of wear. The quality of the materials is evident, and it was always easy to roll up and transport to and from the studio. Unfortunately, my mat’s longevity has now been cut short due to losing it at the studio, which has left a noticeable void in my practice.
Aesthetics
The Liforme mat also features a beautiful design. With its eye-catching colors and elegant patterns, it stands out in any yoga class. The visual appeal of the mat made me proud to use it, adding a touch of style to my practice.
Conclusion
In summary, the Liforme yoga mat has been an invaluable companion in my yoga journey. Its grippy surface, unparalleled comfort, and durability have made every session a pleasure. I’m truly heartbroken over its loss, and I realize how much it contributed to my practice over the years. As I search for a replacement, I know I’ll be looking for another Liforme mat, as it has never disappointed me and has helped me achieve some of my best practices. If you’re considering a quality yoga mat, I wholeheartedly recommend the Liforme—it’s a choice you won’t regret!

I have used this mat for a week now, and it delivers the goods. Great traction, no slippage at all when sweaty, even in poses like Urdhva Dhanurasana (upward bow), which is where I’ve most often experienced trouble using lesser mats. It’s solid, too, providing a good stable foundation for jumping/floating transitions. The alignment markings weren’t a selling point with me, but I’ve been surprised to find how helpful they are. Even in a familiar practice (i.e., Ashtanga), I find myself making little adjustments for more symmetry. If there’s a downside to this mat, I would say it’s weight: I can definitely feel a difference in my yoga bag carrying this one as opposed to an ordinary foam-type mat. But totally worth it in my opinion!

I primarily practice extremely hot yoga. I purchased a Manduka mat a while back, but didn’t love it because it was way too slippery. So, I got a bunch of yogitoes grip towels for my practice. While the grip towels helped keep my hands and feet steady, the towel often moved when changing positions and was also giving me horrible ashtanga toe on both big toes. I finally decided to try this Liforme mat and WOW! My hands and feet do not slip at all and I am able to comfortably hold every pose. I also don’t feel like this mat will tear up my toes. I can’t speak on longevity yet, as this is a recent purchase, but I am currently pleased with this mat and would highly recommend to any yogi that practices hot yoga 🙂

Love it

Just wanted you to know I have been using this mat for all types of yoga in my practice and I love it. I originally bought for the mapping my alignment features. After using it awhile, about two years, it has really good grip, I use it in hot yoga without a towel and no slipping. It is durable, I saw people on Amazon complaining about the stains and truthfully, that is what happens to all yoga mats when they get used right fyi. It strengthens my practice. It is also large enough I can use blocks at my side to practice swinging through. The only downside is that it is a little heavy so I am not sure about travel with it, but it is so good I am going to try the travel mat from the main site. I originally purchased from Amazon. I use vinegar and water to keep it clean.

As a 27 year old man I was always dismissive of yoga, viewing it as an excuse for women to wear activewear in any and all everyday scenarios without the need to change.
This all changed after injuries forced me to access my body which led me to conclude I had the flexibility of a half-jointed scarecrow and was advised to give yoga a crack. Luckily I was eased into my first session through a lunch time class my work holds on a Thursday where the skill range wasn’t that high so they were patient in fixing any issues in form and I bloody loved it.
It both challenged and relaxed me in a variety of ways and I discovered my stereotypical masculine view of ‘strength’ was no good here rendering me as helpless as a new born giraffe trying to find its feet for the first time. As the days passed and collected more classes under my belt my flexibility has improved, strength increased, and ability to do poses that I initially wouldn’t have wished on my worst enemy are finally within my grasp… but…
In mildly warm rooms or a moderately fast flow class I release enough sweat to become a human humidifier. I’m talking gallons of the stuff, from fingertip to tip toe, blinding me, dripping from my nose, painting a mural of myself on the mat so future generations will know I was there – a modern day monument for all my sins and stretch sinews.
Now, having decided to invest in my first yoga mat so I could practice at home in my spare time, and having experienced many a time my hands slide forward at the pace of a tectonic plate during downward dog, I knew I had to invest in a mat that would limit this or risk an inevitable face-to-floor collision. Ladies and Gentlemen – let me introduce you to the mat my girlfriend introduced me to that I’m now taking to credit for:
Liforme.
It’s been excellent so far – nice design, good grip, reasonably padded etc. The fact it comes with a bag is undeniably helpful because it is (surprisingly) heavy. I’m a stickler for detail and getting my alignment juuuuust right so having the markings really help save me time when my anal tendencies do take over.
Chuck into the mix that it’s eco friendly and I basically threw my money at them.
I know it is expensive but I’m an all or nothing kinda guy and understand the value of buying something that’ll last both in terms of it’s performance and keeping it’s ‘colour’ after drying out. Plus having used a foam type mat at work for a year I can see how quickly the grip has warn AND padding has diminished after just one use a week to an extend that when on my knees I feel like I’m back in primary school praying to the lord Jesus Chris on the wooden bench begging him to tell the priest to finish so I can make sure my knee caps haven’t fallen off (and so I could blast out a rendition of shine Jesus shine sharpish!).
Over all a perfect product. Nice one Liforme.
P.S. You will need a yoga mat towel for Hot Yoga to avoid slipping, no man made yoga mat alone could save you in a Hot Yoga class
P.S.S. If I did have a complaint it is that it is TOO grippy and it picks up dirt from my laminated floor that I hovered and mopped two hours before reminding me of my failures as a domestic goddess.
I hope this helps 🙂

Great for hot yoga. However, it takes forever to dry and must lay it out for hours. I’ve noticed the grip being lost after only 7 sessions. It’s still quite grippy, don’t get me wrong. It is a dust and hair magnet. I will look for something different. I’d still recommend though, it didn’t work for me to all my standards.

Edit: I edited my review from 3 stars to 5 because of excellent customer service. The business responded to my original post, below, and gave me a full refund of the mat. I purchased a new mat from this brand and the quality is good; the quality matches the first mat I purchased here.
This is my second yoga mat from this brand. My first mat lasted over a year, and I used it nearly daily for hot yoga until it started peeling apart. I felt that the quality stood up to the frequent use, so I replaced it with the same brand. However, this mat lost stickiness within a couple of months. It is so smooth I slip on the mat which makes it feel unsafe. For the price, I’m disappointed with this second mat. I’m not sure if it’s a decline in quality, or if this mat was a dud, but I thought it was worth noting.

I have been using the same mat for a year now and I couldn’t be happier.
Quality is amazing
Slip resistance is amazing, you can practice with confidence!
Comfort is great, no need to fold your mat to make it “better” for your knees or so
I practice Yoga 3-4 times per week and it still looks new. Great investment for someone that is committed to Yoga.
