I’m 68. I purchased the unscented moisturizer. I probably put on a bit too much the first time I used it, just before bedtime. I woke up in the middle of the night, rolled over, and my hand accidentally brushed my face. Then I actually did come fully awake. My skin felt great! That was over two years ago, and I’m still very happy with the results I get from this product.
Several reviewers mentioned the packaging, including product potentially being left unused. With a little patience, you can disassemble the container and use every last dab. I did not find that much left, though, so if you don’t have the patience, you are probably not throwing a lot of product away.
I also wish it had the expiration date on the package and the container was recyclable. However, this is a small startup. I work with small startups and it’s quite a challenge at the beginning…so many ducks to get in a row, including packaging. I hope they will upgrade when they can. I’ve been a little worried about them, as they didn’t chose the best time to start a new business. I hope they are weathering the economic storm okay.
All that said, I deducted a star because I also work with FDA-regulated products. I know how minimally FDA regulates cosmetics, and I know the games that manufacturers play. In this case, it listed only selected ingredients. This is not good already, but, even worse, it posted **7** photos, including photos of the two angles on the bottle that do NOT list the ingredients, and neatly omitted the third angle, which does. Instead, it posted two uselessly redundant photos of the bottle and the box, where only the photo background is different, like the background somehow matters to anybody. Plus two even more useless photos of someone applying the moisturizer, like we don’t already know what that looks like and also like that is a distinguishing feature among different moisturizers. **And** they took the time to enter the list of selected ingredients, when a single photo of the correct angle on the bottle would have been much easier to post. To me what all this says is that the omission of the full ingredients was almost certainly intentional.
What many of the other reviews tell me is that a lot of people will believe anything a manufacturer tells them about their product. Someone said they loved the list of ingredients. Well, that’s just what it is…a list. What the ingredients are, we have only the manufacturer’s word for it. Moreover, there is no legally enforceable definition of either “natural” or “organic,” so what that means, no customer is in a position to know, although apparently a good number are happy to delude themselves otherwise.

This is the “cleanest” facial lotion I have ever found. By that I mean there is nothing in it that will cause me congestion (plugged pores that get loaded down with sebum and dead skin cells, and have tiny white heads most of the time-in some they can morph into comedones). I have only the former which have been increasing over time because I could never get rid of them despite using Salicylic Acid, Benzoyl Peroxide, and RetinA, All 3 caused me very dry skin and flakes because I wasn’t using them correctly or enough or less, but mainly because I was also unknowingly putting ingredients back on my face that are known to cause congestion in the facial skin or elsewhere for some people and thus jinxing myself into this vicious cycle (and never really getting rid of the plugs for more than a day or two, and never completely). I am still working on it with much more info under my belt. This lotion is wonderful! It feels good going on, moisturizes beautifully and without a shiny finish, is organic and safe (a huge bonus for me as I switched to organic products well over 2 years ago), and will not contribute to my plugged pores. Even organics can have “bad”ingredients for those of us prone to congestion such as Coconut oil which is a VERY common ingredient. If interested, look up Comedogenic ratings online to find a wealth of info.
I finally began doing my own research after going to a dermatologist where I live. He was no help at all. He didn’t even SEE the plugs (whereas I easily saw them at home in my 10X mirror). When I asked him to put on his magnifying glasses, he finally did, (he is older and not wearing glasses to see close objects (his ego?) I felt he didn’t care, but I was distressed about my skin because I wanted healthy skin, AND these plugs were increasing alarmingly. Under my eyes, nears my brows, my chin is a mess, and on both sides of my inner cheeks between my nose and mouth, (I also get them randomly anywhere). At nearly 70 years old, it’s ridiculous to be struggling so much with this, isn’t this in the realm of teens? Well, not for me. The derm did say that the older we get, the harder it is for our skin the get rid of dead skin cells that pile up on our skin. When younger, our skin cell turnover is much faster. Oh wow, I felt blessed, NOT.
I’ve been researching and writing things down, including ALL comedogenic ingredients, etc. and have finally found this lotion. I am so excited.
Just a bit more info: this lotion is pale yellow (a result from the golden yellow Jojoba oil), it comes unscented or scented, and the unscented has virtually no smell. It absorbs very rapidly. The container it is in is thoughtfully a simple pump kind that works so easily and keeps the lotion free from contamination–I can’t emphasize this latter enough (I can tell it was chosen by a woman, thank goodness. Sorry guys. I’m sure some guys are thoughtful too about facial products, but not as often as women), how important not getting your cream or lotion in a jar is. Too easy to introduce bacteria. Thank you so much “Awake Human” for creating this well thought out and beautiful lotion that I love so much. I already ordered a backup. And thank you to all my fellow Amazon purchasers who took the time to read my wordy review. I hope this helps someone.

I’ve been buying this moisturizer for quite a while now. For a long time I struggled to find a limited ingredient/natural and fragrance-free facial moisturizer and, due to my wife, have at one time or another used almost all the high end stuff out there. The problem with all that high end stuff is most of it is not paraben, phthalate, and sulfate free while this, at a fraction of the cost, is. I could also find almost none that had no fragrance added. Then, add to that this product being not being tested on animals and I couldn’t ask for anything better. Hopefully one day they can get this stuff EWG Verified. I still use some Epionce stuff a few times per week but I use this stuff daily. This is a bit on the lighter side so it is perfect if you have normal to oily skin; if you require deep hydration you will want to either supplement this before sleep or use a heavier product altogether.

Delivery was on time but the pump on product didn’t work. I ended up taking the pump apart just so I could use the cream inside.

it doesn’t contain any hormone disrupters like most skincare so i love that!!! very very subtle but very pleasant almond smell! doesn’t sting your face very good for sensitive skin, love the thickness it’s not too thick not too thin, doesn’t leave a greasy feel, very hydrating and moisturizing, and leaves a great dewy finish! and it’s a small business! go for this rather than the big bad beauty companies that put chemicals in their products to make you go buy more and more to fix the issues they caused!

This is perfect for my sensitive skin. It absorbs nicely, works well, and has almost no smell.
